Rear-view camera for use with factory touch screen radios in select Jeep Wrangler models. 2007-Up Jeep Wrangler & Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Jeep Wrangler Camera Kit. The camera kit includes a rearview camera, spare tire mounting bracket, wiring harness, and hardware. This rear-view camera kit is meant as a back-up aid only; never solely rely on the rear-view camera when backing-up. In addition to using the rear-view camera, always look behind you to make sure everything is clear when backing up your vehicle. The rearview camera kit includes an OBD-II programming module for the factory radio, eliminating the need for dealer programming. The BrandMotion Jeep Wrangler Camera Kit features a CMOS backup camera that delivers 648 x 488 lines of resolution with a 170° wide. Mirror or Reverse Image. The backup camera will display a “Mirror” or “Reverse” image on your factory radio monitor. By default, the camera will display a mirror image. In order to display a reverse image, you will need to cut the white wire (labeled Mirror option) in the camera’s harness. The backup camera provides parking assist lines on the screen of your vehicle’s factory radio display monitor. These parking lines are there to assist you when backing up into a parking space. There are two vertical lines which help you judge the left and right edges of the parking space and your vehicle. There are also 4 color-coded horizontal lines that are used to distinguish how close you are getting to the end of the parking spot – Green (Clear), Orange (Getting Close), Yellow (Very Close), and Red (Stop). You can remove the Park Assist Lines by cutting the green wire (labeled “Parking Line”) in the camera’s harness. Spare Tire Mounting Bracket.
