SINAR NORMA 8X10 VIEW CAMERA REAR PART BELLOWS GROUND GLASS SPRING BACK. Comes without any other accessories than shown. Bellows is not light leak free, shows some pin holes at the corners. Shows some superficial corrosion here and there. Camera shows some signs of prior use and is in good condition. Shows some scuffs and scratches. These cameras need little introduction, the Deardorff V8 is perhaps the definitive portable 8×10 view camera. A superb and timeless design of great elegance, simplicity, and made of the highest grade materials. They are steady, with excellent controls, and surprisingly light for their robustness. These cameras enjoy a phenomenal reputation among new film photographers, and old-timers alike. A favourite of the master Joel Meyerowitz. This particular example is a beauty in clean estate condition. The camera is structurally sound and with a minimum of marks and dings–well used, but clearly never abused. The bellows is strong and intact but could use to have corner tape applied to prevent pinhole light leaks that are present in bellows corners. This listing includes the one extra lens board shown, but PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LENS PICTURED IS NOT INCLUDED. A fine camera that ought to be put back to work. The lens is a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar Red T 250mm, f4.5 in an Alphax 1/50th shutter. The lens is basically a display piece only as the shutter controls have all been removed and the aperture control is stuck. There is a small scratch on the rear element. Photos clearly show the cosmetic condition. Bellows appear light tight using a simple flashlight test. The strap is a replacement but is functional. The focus adjustment needs some help. You need to pull the front or rear out on the track but it will then rack back with the knobs. The rear extension rail is present and is numbered the same as the camera. This makes a beautiful display piece or with some adjustments could be a great user camera as well. Put a lens on it and fine tune the adjustment apparatus and you are good; or, display it as is.
